An analog blood pressure machine is a device used to measure the pressure of blood in the arteries. The machine consists of a cuff, an inflatable bladder, and a gauge. The cuff is placed around the arm or wrist and inflated to block the artery and then deflated slowly to release the pressure. As the cuff is deflated, the pressure in the artery is measured by the gauge. The gauge displays the pressure in millimetres of mercury (mmHg).
